#12. GOO Jun Pyo Always to GEUM Jan Di's Rescue

I miss JunDi so I made an MV using Screen Caps from Boys Over Flowers showing all the times that Goo Jun Pyo rescued Geum Jandi from every difficult situation.

(Even in real life, Lee Min Ho saved Goo Hye Sun during a car accident back in February 2009..He's truly a knight in shining armor for a damsel in distress)

Jun Pyo Always to the Rescue Part 2

As promised, here is Part 2 of my summary for
"Jun Pyo Always to the Rescue"

7. JP defied his mother’s order of not leaving the car to be with JD who was in the streets selling rice crackers. It was a clear declaration of his love for JD but JD continuously discouraged JP from coming to her rescue and let her courageously overcome the obstacles.

8. JP went to the kidnappers’ hideout alone as demanded by the mastermind and got badly beaten for JD’s sake. This scene apparently showed that it was JD who saved JP by taking the blow from the impact of the crashing chair intended for JP. (This later turned out to be the cause of JD’s shoulder injury and the reason for her early retirement from swimming.)

9. JP escaped his mother’s guards to return back to the ski resort to rescue JD after learning that JD went to the mountains to look for the missing necklace despite the snowstorm. It was touching to see JP carry JD on his back to look for shelter and later shed off his shirt and jacket and endured the cold to keep JD from dying of hypothermia.

10. JP rescued JD while struggling in the water due to her shoulder injury after she retrieved the necklace that she accidentally dropped in the pool. JD was surprised that JP can already swim since he still can’t while they were in Caledonia. JP later disclosed that he purposely tried to overcome his childhood trauma and learned how to swim so he can come to her rescue when needed.

11. JP’s unexpected recovery from his selective amnesia was triggered by JD’s dramatic attempt to bring him back to his senses by jumping into pool. JP’s momentary shock brought back images of JD struggling in seawater in Caledonia/resort which finally made him jump into the water to rescue JD. This was much to Yumi’s dislike. (Hmm...All’s well that ends well.)

I will never tire to watch BOF over and over again...part of JunDi's sweet moments that really made an impression on me are the moments when Jun Pyo rushed to protect and rescue Jandi.

I will also never cease to feed my BOF addiction and continue to make MinSun/JunDi summaries. Here's Part I (1-6) of these rescue scenes:

A Knight in Shining Armour To the Rescue of a Damsel in Distress

1. Seeing JD’ nose bleed after getting hit by a ball first softened JP. He tried to wipe away the blood with his handkerchief but she rejected the gesture and blurted out her extreme dislike for JP’s personality.

2. JP saved JD from being exposed in secretly “stalking” JH and SJ during the intimate moment. He played along with JD to make it appear that they were together at that time and were actually on their way to go somewhere else.

3. JP took the heartbroken JD in his home after getting too drunk and vomited on his very costly suit. With the help of F3, he was also able to conceal JD’s real identity from his mother’s persistent probing.


4. JP intervened in the harsh bullying and physical harm brought by the students on JD due to the video “scandal” fabricated by her friend. He brought her again to his home to personally attend to her cuts and bruises. (It was heart-warming to see JP looking at JD with affection and giving her a kiss on the head while she was sleeping.)

5. JP came to JD’s defense while she was being verbally harassed by the 3 mean girls with their boyfriends at the restaurant after she got exposed from asking for the seafood leftovers to take home to her family.

6. JP had beaten Ga Eul’s boyfriend Soo Pyo after finally losing his temper when SP degraded JD and suggested that they look for better-looking girls at the bar. JD being clueless of what really happened even blamed JP for his heroic actions.

In an interview Goo Hye Sun had at the hospital on the 28th, she revealed,"Thanks to Lee Min Ho I got to get to the hospital quickly to receive treatment."

"After the accident occurred, a van that looked a lot like Lee Min Ho's passed by. With my head ringing, I slightly remember thinking, 'I wish that was Min Ho's car.' As the car door opened, it turned out that it was really Min Ho, and he began to run toward us. At that time he looked like the savior of the world. Had I gotten to the hospital any later, my recovery would have been later as well. I was so thankful."

Goo Hye Sun's car collided with a dump truck that was driving ahead of them. Lee Min Ho took Goo Hye Sun all the way to the hospital, and then proceeded to go back to filming. He then attended the award ceremony with the rest of his cast. However, Lee Min Ho and his representatives kept the incident(where LMH helped GHS) quiet.

Goo Hye Sun watched the award ceremony on TV. "I was shocked when I saw Lee Min Ho fall on the red carpet. I laughed without even knowing. I thought the stitches in my mouth had come undone(laughs). Lee Min Ho and Kim Hyun Joong came to visit after the ceremony. I was very thankful. It must not have been easy to make time when they had such a busy schedule."

She expressed her happiness when she saw her two co-stars receiving the awards.

Currently, Goo Hye Sun has 3 stitches inside of her lip. The swelling was bad enough to halt production. Because of this, they will be showing a special instead of Episode 17 on the 2nd. Goo Hye Sun hopes to return to filming as early as the 2nd. She is scheduled to go back to the hospital on the 5th to take out the stitches.

Lee Min Ho, who plays Goo Jun Pyo in "Boys Over Flowers", was very shy about the whole situation with Goo Hye Sun.

Lee Min Ho replied, "As we were moving scenes, I saw that the car Goo Hye Sun was in had gotten into an accident. All I did was stop my car and took anyone that was injured to the hospital."

At the time, Lee Min Ho had left the first set later than Goo Hye Sun because he had one more scene to shoot. After he saw Goo Hye Sun, he took her to the hospital.

Though he insisted that what he did was not a big deal, he revealed that the accident did not seem minor at all, "The whole front of the car was busted, Goo Hye Sun was in a state of shock and was bleeding a lot because of the tear in her lip area. The two stylists who were in the car with her were crying and also in a state of shock."
