MNET 20's Choice Goo Hye Sun Plays Rubik's Cube Cut

GHS says in the clip,"You cannot give me things (i.e.Rubik's Cube) like this. I get a headache from it." Yet, like a woman who likes a good challenge, she keeps at it. On the screen are words that GHS is a honest type who admits when she cannot do something.

The MNET 20's thing is a special feature since there will be the MNET 20s Choice Awards this coming August 28th & it will be held live from (5pm-10pm Korean time) @ Jamsil Indoor Stadium.

The event is being held to grace the choices of the 20s generation on their true trend/cultural setter icons. The event highlights include awards ceremony, blue carpet ceremony and exceptional perfomances. Some of the awards are freshly introduced this year.The final results will be based on 50% from survey ratings from the 20s generation and 50% on the polling outcome.

(How exciting! I wonder if Hyesun eoni is still going to this awards show? I hope she does!!)

Goo HyeSun, who has received much attention for her talents in different fields, is in her 20s and she talks about how she had wanted to be just a singer. Even though she was famous as a ulzzang, she revealed that it is scary to be in other people’s gazes. And to her, the 20s is a miracle when one can challenge oneself to whatever and achieved them.

In addition to what you translated above, I just want to add a little more about what she said. She considers being in her 20's a time to try what she is interested and challenge herself without being too afraid to fail or make a mistake. That is why she pursued her love of singing. Even though it may not have worked out she tried. At 21, she made a debut at NN5. As ncly said, she really did not enjoy and even was scared of people's stares at her as she was labeled ulzzang. Then she talked about appearing in BOF where she was loved but also scolded for her role.

She says, "Being in one's 20's is a time for miracles. Whenever one is able to try anything one desires, and then try again with youthful energy--isn't that a miracle? Nobody succeeds just once and for all. Failures will be less.There is always tomorrow. I am going to try again the next day. I believe that someday FOR SURE I will make it happen."

(I love that exact quote from her!!! I love it and her more because she is talking from her own experience and not just quoting someone else's pretty lines!!! She is a remarkable young woman and I don't think she will quit trying her desires even if she is no longer in her 20's.)

Fall's approaching with a lot of anticipation for artist comebacks and drama premieres but summer's not quite over yet. Mnet's third annual 20's Choice Awards (think Teen Choice Awards) is coming August 28th! Don't ask me why Mnet clearly states it as a "summer break" but airs it in August (some have mentioned October but I don't think that's correct)...

So for those of you who are clueless about this event, the awards are broken up into 20 different categories (hence the 20's in the event name), fans vote, and on the actual awards show there is a blue carpet for arrivals, performances, and of course the revealing of whose hot in Korea! Fans are allowed to vote, so it's a matter of who has the most fans...but doesn't that just mean the winner is hot hot hot?
